When something's wrong on our side

How we tell you about a problem with Chiffchaff itself, such as texts or emails going out late, and what you need to do (usually nothing).

Sometimes the problem is ours, not yours: texts or emails go out late, Google can't be reached, or part of the app isn't working. When that happens we tell you, so you don't have to wonder.

Where you see it

  • A note at the top of every page in the app, for as long as the problem lasts. It says what's affected and the latest we know. If only some businesses are affected, such as those that send texts, only they see it.
  • An email, for bigger problems: owners and managers get one when it starts and one when it's fixed. These go to the people at businesses that are affected, and can't be turned off.

You can close the note with Dismiss. It comes back only if we post news, and it goes away on its own once the problem is fixed.

Our status page

Our status page shows the same notes, plus anything we fixed in the last 30 days. It's a separate site, so it still works when the app doesn't. If the app won't load, check it there. If it says it can't reach the app, the problem is on our side, not yours.

What you need to do

Usually nothing. The note and the email say if there's something for you to do, and if you're not sure, ask us in Need help if you have it, or email support@getblythe.com.

If your problem is with your own connection, such as Google needing you to sign in again, that's a different message. See When a connection stops working.

What's new

When we add or change something, we write a short note about it. Open your account menu, in the top corner of any page, and choose What's new. A dot means there's a note you haven't read yet.

Still stuck? Email support@getblythe.com.
