Pause or cancel your plan
Pause a monthly plan for the slow season for up to 3 months a year, resume early, cancel in one step, or keep your plan after cancelling.
Chiffchaff is month to month. You can pause for the slow season or cancel any time from Billing, under Pause or cancel. Owners and managers can do both; other team members see what's set.
Pause for the slow season
A pause is free on monthly plans. While it's on:
- Off: review requests (texts, emails, sends to a list and requests from Zapier), AI reply drafts, posting replies, Google posts and reply autopilot.
- Still working: new reviews keep coming in, the reviews inbox and everything else stay open, you can change settings, and your monthly recap still arrives.
- Billing: renewals that fall inside the pause aren't charged. Your billing date doesn't change, so the first renewal after the pause is charged as usual.
Requests that were waiting to go out when you pause are cancelled, so nothing sends all at once when you're back. A request Zapier tries to send during a pause shows in Requests as "Skipped while your plan was paused".
To pause:
- Go to Billing and find Pause or cancel.
- Under Pause until, pick the day you want everything back on. It can be 7 days to 3 months away.
- Click Pause my plan.
The pause ends at the start of the day you picked, in your business's time zone, and we email the owner and anyone who can manage billing that it's over. Every page shows a banner while you're paused.
Resume early
Click Resume now on the banner or on Billing. Requests, drafts and posts come back straight away, and your next bill comes at your usual renewal date.
If our support team paused your plan, for example while sorting out a billing question, the banner says so and there's no Resume button. Email support@getblythe.com and they'll turn it back on. A pause they set doesn't count toward your 3 months.
How much you can pause
Up to 3 months (92 days) in any 12 months, counting the pauses you started in the last 12 months. Each pause counts as at least 30 days, even if you resume sooner. Billing shows how many days you have left, and when you can pause again if you've used them.
When you can't pause
- On a yearly plan. Pause is for monthly plans. In Manage billing you can switch to monthly from your next renewal, then pause.
- During your free trial. Nothing is being billed yet, so there's nothing to pause.
- When a payment didn't go through. Update your card first; once the payment goes through you can pause. See Your trial, and coming back after cancelling.
- When your plan is set to end. Click Keep my plan first if you'd rather pause.
- When the business is set to be deleted. Keep it in Settings → Your data first. See Download or delete your data.
Cancel
- Go to Billing, and under Pause or cancel click Cancel plan.
- Read when your access ends, then click Cancel my plan.
That's it: no survey and no offers. Your plan stops renewing at once and you keep everything until the end of the period you've paid for. After that you can still sign in and see your reviews, customers and settings, but sending and drafting stop. Nothing is deleted.
There's no refund for the rest of the period, as our Terms say (section 13.10). If you cancel during your free trial, you won't be charged.
Before you go, you can download all your data from Settings → Your data.
You can also cancel in Manage billing, the billing portal run by Stripe. It works the same way: your plan ends at the end of the period.
Changed your mind?
Until your plan ends, every page shows when it ends with Keep my plan. Click it and your plan renews as usual; nothing is charged that day. After your plan has ended, choose a plan on Billing to start again.
If you cancel and also ask to delete the business, keeping the business later doesn't turn your plan back on: it stays cancelled because you cancelled it.
